Regu larly insp ect the lap and shou lder belts
system of you r child seat. See you r Ford dealer
if the shou lder belt webbing is frayed , or if the
bu ckle and tongu e are dam aged and / or do not
function prop erly.
Clea ning
Your bu ilt-in child seat may be cleaned with
mild soap and water. Do not use hou sehold
cleaners as they may weaken the webbing or
dam age the plastic parts. For you r convenience,
the liner is rem ovable and can be
machine-w ashed and air-d ried .
Safety Belts for Child ren
Child ren who are too large for child safety seats
shou ld alw ays wear safety belts. (See instru ctions
with you r child seat, or contact its manu factu rer,
to determ ine maxim um size of child that will
safely fit in the seat.)
RWARN ING
If safety belts are not prop erly worn and
adjusted as describ ed, the risk of seriou s
injury to the child in a collision will be
much greater.
If the shou lder belt portion of one of the lap and
shou lder belts can be positioned so that it does
not cross or rest in front of the child ’s face or
neck, the child shou ld wear the lap and shou lder
belt. Moving the child closer to the center of the
vehicle may help provid e a good shou lder belt
fit.
