Removing the ant i-t heft lug nut
Insert the key over the locking lug nu t. Make
sure that you hold the key squ are to the lug nu t.
If you hold the key on an angle, you may
dam age the key and the lug nu t.
Place the lug nu t wrench over the lug nu t key
and ap ply pressu re on the key with the wrench.
Turn the wrench in a counterclockw ise direction
to rem ove the lug nu t.
Reinst alling the ant i-t heft lug nut
Insert the key over the locking lug nu t. Place the
lug nu t wrench over the lug nu t key and , while
ap plying pressu re on the key, install the lug nu t.
If the Engin e Cran ks But Does
Not Start or Does Not Start After
a Collision
The Fuel Pump Shut-off Switch
If the engine cranks bu t does not start or if you
have had a collision, the fuel pump shu t-off
switch may have been triggered . The shu t-off
switch is a device that stop s the fuel pump
when you r vehicle has been involved in a
substantial jolt.

If you need to have you r vehicle tow ed, contact
a professional tow ing service or, if you are a
member, you r road sid e assistance center. Your
Tau ru s shou ld be tow ed from the front unless
cond itions do not allow it. It is recom mend ed
that you r vehicle be tow ed with wheel lift or
flatbed equ ipment.
