NOTE: The Electronic Speed Control system has been
designed to shu t down if multiple speed control switch
functions are operated simultaneou sly in ord er to ensu re
prop er operation. If this occurs, the system can be
reactivated by pushing the speed control switch ON/
OFF button and resetting the desired vehicle SET speed .
On steep hills a greater speed loss or gain may occur so
it may be preferable to drive withou t speed control.

Speed Con trol can be dangerou s where the system
can’t main tain a constan t speed . Your veh icle could
go too fast for the condition s, and you could lose
control. An accid ent could be the resu lt. Don’t use
Speed Con trol in heavy traffic or on road s that are
winding, icy, snow-covered , or slip pery.
Acceleratin g To Pass
Dep ress the accelerator as you would norm ally. When the
pedal is released , the vehicle will retu rn to the set speed .
NOTE: The speed control system maintains speed up
and down hills. A slight speed change on moderate hills
is norm al.
Your vehicle may experience a downshift (autom atic
transm issions only) while climbing uphill or descend ing
downhill. This downshift is necessary to maintain vehicle
set speed .
