UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
•
In cold or damp weather, the use of the RECIRCULA-
TION mode will cause wind ows to fog on the insid e
becau se of moistu re build-up insid e the vehicle. For
maxim um defogging, select the Outsid e Air position.
ECONOMY Mode
If ECON OMY mode is desired , press the A/ C button to
turn off the ind icator light and the A/ C compressor.
Rotate the tem peratu re control knob to the desired tem -
peratu re.

In ord er to prevent fogging, when the recircu lation
button is pressed and the mode control is set to
PANEL the A/ C will engage autom atically.
Air Con dition ing Operation
Push on this button to engage
the Air Cond itioning. A light
will illuminate when the A/ C
System is engaged
The A/ C can be deselected manu ally withou t distu rb-
ing the mode control selection.
Air Outlets
The airflow from each of the instru ment panel outlets can
be adjusted for direction and turned on or off to control
airflow.
NOTE: For maxim um airflow to the rear, the center
instru ment panel outlets can be directed tow ard the rear
seat passengers.
NOTE: The air cond itioning compressor will not engage
until the engine has been running for abou t 10 second s.
