weight on the rear axle of the vehicle:

Weight of any other typ e of cargo/ luggage or equ ip-
ment put in or on you r vehicle

Weight of the driver and all passengers

Avoid tow ing a trailer for the first 500 mi (805 km)
of veh icle operation . Doin g so may damage you r
veh icle.
NOTE: Remember that everything put into or on the
trailer adds to the load on you r vehicle. Also, additional
factory-installed options, or authorized dealer-installed
options, must be consid ered as part of the total load on
you r vehicle. Refer to the Tire and Load ing Inform ation
placard in the Tire Safety Inform ation Section of this
manu al for the maxim um combined weight of occupants
and cargo for you r vehicle.

Durin g the first 500 mi (805 km) of trailer tow ing,
lim it you r speed to 50 mph (80 km/h).
Perform the maintenance listed in Section 8 of this
manu al. When tow ing a trailer, never exceed the GAWR
or GCWR ratings.
