UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
“Maintenance Proced ures”, of this manu al for prop er
coolant selection. Use of the air RECIRCULATION mode
during winter months is not recom mend ed becau se it
may cause wind ow fogging.
WINDOW FOGGING
Vehicle wind ows tend to fog on the insid e in mild rainy
or hu mid weather. To clear the wind ows, select DE-
FROST or MIX mode and increase the front blow er
speed . Do not use the RECIRCULATION mode withou t
A/ C for long period s, as fogging may occur.
VACATION/STORAGE
Anytim e you store you r vehicle, or keep it out of service
(i.e., vacation) for two weeks or more, run the air
cond itioning system at idle for abou t five minu tes in the
fresh air and high blow er setting. This will ensu re
adequ ate system lubrication to minim ize the possibility
of compressor damage when the system is started again.
OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE
Make sure the air intake, located directly in front of the
wind shield , is free of obstru ctions such as leaves. Leaves
collected in the air intake may red uce airflow and if they
enter the plenu m they could plug the water drains. In
winter months make sure the air intake is clear of ice,
slush and snow.
