SLIDING SIDE DOOR
door after the hold -open latch is activated , you must
rock the insid e hand le forw ard or pull outward on the
outsid e hand le.
The sliding door may be opened from the insid e or the
outsid e. Pull outward on exterior hand le to open the
sliding door. The sliding door insid e hand le functions by
rocking forw ard and back. Rocking the hand le back-
ward s opens the door and rocking forw ard releases the
hold open latch in ord er to close the door.

Alw ays make sure that the sliding door is fully latched
anytim e the vehicle is in motion.
NOTE: The left side sliding door cannot be opened
while the fuel door is open. This featu re operates only
when the sliding door is fully closed prior to opening the
fuel door.
To keep you r door operating prop erly, observe the fol-
lowing guidelines:

POWER SLIDING SIDE DOOR — IF EQUIPPED
The power sliding door may be opened manu ally or by
using the buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transm itter.
Avoid high impacts against the door stop when open-
ing the door. This is very important when you r vehicle
is parked on an incline as the door will slide faster in
the downhill direction.
Press the button on the transm itter twice within five
second s, to open a power sliding door. When the door is
fully open, pressing the button twice within five second s
a second time will close the door.

There is a hold -open latch that is activated when the
sliding door is fully opened . This latch will keep you r
sliding door open on any incline. To close the sliding
