The satellite navigation capability combines a Global-
Positioning System (GPS)-based navigation system with
an integrated color screen to provid e maps, turn identi-
fication, selection menu s, and instru ctions for selecting a
variety of destinations and rou tes.
NOTE: The sales code is located on the lower right side
of the unit’s facep late.
The RER Multimedia system contains a rad io, Sirius
Satellite Radio player, navigation system , CD/ DVD
player, USB port, 20-gigabyte hard drive (HDD), and the
UConnect Hand s-Free Bluetooth cellular system .
A shared HDD for the navigation system , the database,
and other rad io featu res allow s upload s of music and 4
photos from CDs or throu gh the USB port. The Gracenote
database find s the artist, track, and title for the music.
NOTE: If you r vehicle is not equ ipped with UConnect ,
the unit will resp ond with a “Not Equipped With
UConnect ” message when selecting controls related to
this featu re.
An auxiliary inp ut jack perm its passengers to listen to a
portable MP3 player throu gh the vehicle’s speakers. For
vehicles equ ipped with the Vehicle Entertainm ent System
(VES), separate audio outputs allow passengers to listen
to the vehicle speakers while different audio tracks play
throu gh the system ’s wireless head phones. This means
rear-seat passengers can watch a DVD on the optional
rear-seat entertainm ent system while the driver and
front-seat passenger listen to the rad io.
A 6.5 in (16.5 cm) tou ch screen allow s easy menu selec-
tion, while the Advanced Voice Dialog System recognizes
more than 1,000 word s for audio, navigation, entertain-
ment, and hand s-free mobile phone use.
