Manual Operation
PANEL Mode
Air comes from the outlets in the instru ment panel.
This system offers a full complement of manu al overrid e
featu res. The AUTO sym bol in the front ATC display will
be turned off when the system is being used in the
manu al mode.
Each of these outlets can be ind ivid ually adjusted to
direct the flow of air. Moving the air vanes of the center
outlets down, will close off the airflow from the center
outlets. The thu mbwheel next to the outboard outlets can
be rotated to regu late or shu t off the airflow from these
outlets.
NOTE: Each of these featu res operate ind epend ently
from each other. If any one featu re is controlled manu ally,
the rem aining featu res will continu e to operate autom ati-
cally.
BI-LEVEL Mode
Air comes from both the instru ment panel outlets,
floor outlets and defrost. A slight amount of air is
also directed throu gh the side wind ow demister outlets.
The left blow er control knob can be set to any fixed
blow er speed by pressing the upper front blow er rocker
button. The fan will now operate at a fixed speed until
additional speed s are selected . This allow s the front
occupants to control the volu me of air circulated in the
vehicle and cancel the AUTO mode.
NOTE: In many tem peratu re positions, the BI-LEVEL
mode is designed to provid e cooler air out of the panel
outlets and warm er air from the floor outlets.
The operator can also select the direction of the selecting
one of the follow ing positions.
