THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE
•
For vehicles equ ipped with the Electronic Vehicle
Inform ation Center (EVIC), the message “Insert Key/
Turn To Run” will flash in the EVIC until you insert
the key. Once inserted , the message “Turn To Run”
will flash in the EVIC until you turn the key to run.
To Turn Off the Engin e While in Rem ote Start
Mode
Press and release the Remote Start button one time.
NOTE: To avoid inad vertent shu t downs, the system
will disable the one time press of the Remote Start button
for two second s after receiving a valid Remote Start
requ est.
Can cel Rem ote Start
Remote Starting will also cancel if any of the follow ing

The engine stalls or RPM exceed s 2500.
Any engine warning telltale lights come on.
The hood is opened .
The vehicle can be started rem otely up to a maxim um of
two times. The vehicle is also allow ed a maxim um of one
failed start, where the Remote Starting sequ ence was
initiated but the engine stop ped cranking withou t start-
ing. After either of these cond itions, or if the Security
Alarm System is alarm ing, or if the PANIC button was
pressed , the vehicle must be reset by inserting a valid key
into the ignition switch, rotating to the RUN position,
and then rotating back to the LOCK/ OFF position.
The Hazard Switch is pressed .
The transm ission gear selector lever is moved out of
PARK.

Pressing the brake pedal.
Allow the engine to run for the entire 15 minu te cycle.
