The TCS cannot preven t the natu ral law s of phys-
ics from actin g on the veh icle, nor can it increase
the traction afford ed.
The Traction Control System (TCS) Ind icator
Light, located in the instru ment cluster, starts
to flash as soon as the tires lose traction and the
wheels begin to spin. This ind icates that the
TCS is active. If the ind icator light flashes during accel-
eration, ease up on the accelerator and apply as little
throttle as possible. Be sure to adapt you r speed and
driving to the prevailing road cond itions, and do not
switch off the ESP or TCS.
The TCS cannot preven t accid ents, including those
resu ltin g from excessive speed in turns, or hydro-
plan ing. Only a safe, atten tive, and skillfu l driver
can preven t accid ents.
