To release the belt, push the red button on the buckle.
WARN ING!
The belt will autom atically retract to its stow ed position.
If necessary, slide the latch plate down the webbing to
allow the belt to retract fully.

A lap belt worn too high can increase the risk of

intern al injury in a collision . The belt forces won’t be
at the stron g hip and pelvic bones, but across you r
abdomen. Alw ays wear the lap belt as low as pos-
sib le and keep it snug.
WARN ING!
A frayed or torn belt could rip apart in a collision and
leave you with no protection . Inspect the belt system
period ically, checking for cuts, frays, or loose parts.
Damaged parts must be rep laced immediately. Do
not disassem ble or modify the system . Seat belt
assem blies must be rep laced after a collision if they
have been damaged (bent retractor, torn webbing,
etc.).

A twisted belt can’t do its job as well. In a collision
it could even cut into you . Be sure the belt is straigh t.
If you can’t straigh ten a belt in you r veh icle, tak e it to
you r authorized dealer and have it fixed .

Position the shou lder belt on you r chest so that it is
comfortable and not resting on you r neck. The retractor
will withd raw any slack in the belt.
Third Row Cen ter Shoulder Belt Instru ction s
The shou lder belt for the third row center seat is located
in the head liner slightly behind the third row seat.
