WHAT TO DO IN EMERGENCIES

To rem ove the compact spare tire/ cover assem bly,

Never start or run the engine with the vehicle on a
jack.
assem ble the winch hand le extensions to form a “T’ and
fit the winch “T” hand le over the drive nu t. Rotate the
nu t to the left until the winch mechanism stop s turning
freely. This will allow enou gh slack in the cable to allow
you to pull the spare tire out from und er the vehicle.

Do not let anyone sit in the vehicle when it is on a
jack.

Do not get under the vehicle when it is on a jack.
Only use the jack in the position s indicated and for
liftin g this vehicle durin g a tire change.

If working on or near a road way, be extrem ely
carefu l of motor traffic.
The winch mechanism is design ed for use with the
winch “T” handle only. Use of an air wren ch or oth er
power tools is not recom mended and can damage the
winch.
To assu re that spare tires, flat or inflated are securely
stow ed, spares must be stow ed with the valve stem
facin g the grou nd.

Turn on the Hazard warning flash er.
