UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
NOTE: If you r air cond itioning perform ance seem s
lower than expected , check the front of the A/ C con-
denser (located in front of the rad iator), for an accumu-
lation of dirt or insects. Clean with a gentle water spray
from behind the rad iator and throu gh the cond enser.
Fabric front fascia protectors may red uce airflow to the
cond enser, red ucing air cond itioning perform ance.
PANEL Mode
Air is directed throu gh the outlets in the instru ment
panel. These outlets can be adjusted to direct airflow.
BI-LEVEL Mode
Air is directed throu gh the panel and floor outlets.
NOTE: There is a difference in tem peratu re (in any
cond itions other than full cold or full hot), betw een the
upper and lower outlets for added comfort. The warm er
air goes to the floor outlets. This featu re gives improved
comfort during sunny but cool cond itions.
Mode Con trol (Air Direction )
Mod e control allow s you to choose
from several patterns of air distribu -
tion. You can select either a prim ary
mode, as identified by the sym bols, or
a blend of two of these modes. The
closer the control is to a particu lar
mode, the more air distribu tion you
receive from that mode.
FLOOR Mode
Air is directed throu gh the floor outlets with a
small amount throu gh the defrost and side wind ow
demist outlets.
