The oil change ind icator message will not monitor the
time since the last oil change. Change you r vehicle’s
oil if it has been six months since you r last oil change
even if the oil change ind icator message is NOT
illuminated .

Change you r engine oil more often if you drive you r
vehicle off-road for an extend ed period of time.

Check the engine oil level abou t five minu tes after a
fully warm ed engine is shu t off. Checking the oil level C
while the vehicle is on level grou nd will improve the
accuracy of the oil level read ing. Add oil only when
