If the fluid level ind icates low, add sufficient fluid to
bring to the prop er level.
Special Additives
Autom atic Transm ission Fluid (ATF) is an engineered
prod uct and its perform ance may be impaired by supple-
mental additives. Therefore, do not add any fluid addi-
tives to the transaxle. The only excep tion to this policy is
the use of special dyes to aid in detecting fluid leaks. In
addition, avoid using transaxle sealers as they may
adversely affect seals.
CAUTIO N!
Do not overfill. Dirt and water in the tran saxle can
cause seriou s damage. To preven t dirt and water from
enterin g the tran saxle after checking or rep len ish ing
flu id, make certain that the dipstick cap is reseated
prop erly.
FRONT AND REAR WHEEL BEARINGS
Front and rear wheel bearings are perm anently sealed .
No regu lar maintenance is requ ired for these compo-
nents.
Fluid and Filter Changes
Refer to the “Maintenance Sched ule” in Section 8 of this
manu al for the recom mend ed transaxle fluid and filter
change intervals.

and filter shou ld be changed .
