REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE) — IF
Using The RKE Transmitter
EQUIPPED
Three-bu tton transm itters will provid e basic UNLOCK,
LOCK and PANIC functions.
This system allow s you to lock or unlock the doors and
liftgate, and activate the PANIC alarm , optional power
liftgate, left power sliding door, and right power sliding
door from distances up to abou t 23 ft (7 m) using a
hand -held rad io RKE transm itter. The RKE transm itter
need not be pointed at the vehicle to activate the system .

NOTE: If the key is in the ignition switch, then all
buttons on that RKE transm itter will be disabled . The
buttons on the rem aining transm itters will work. If the
gear selector lever is out of PARK, all the RKE transm itter
buttons are disabled for all keys.
Two transm itters may be supplied with the vehicle.
Vehicles built withou t the powered options will be
equ ipped from the factory with three-bu tton transm itters
and those built with power options will be equ ipped
with up to seven-bu ttons on the transm itter.

Seven-bu tton transm itters will provid e functions that
allow the sam e basic operation as the three-bu tton, but
may also be used to OPEN / CLOSE the optional power
