Your vehicle shou ld be parked outsid e of the garage
when program ming.
Watch for the HomeLink ind icator to change flash rates.
When it changes, it is program med. It may take up to 30
second s, or longer in rare cases. The garage door may
open and close while you train.
Begin Program ming
1.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON/ RUN position.
NOTE: Some gate operators and garage door openers 3
may requ ire you to rep lace Step 3 with proced ures noted
in the “Gate Operator/ Canad ian Program ming” section.

Hold the battery side of the hand -held transm itter
Place the hand -held transm itter 1 to 3 in (3 to 8 cm) away
from the HomeLink button you wish to program while
keep ing the ind icator light in view.
NOTE: After training a HomeLink channel, if the
garage door does not operate with HomeLink and the
garage door opener was manu factu red after 1995, the
garage door opener may have a rolling code. If so,
proceed to Step 5 “Program ming A Rolling Cod e Sys-
tem .”

Simultaneou sly press and hold both the chosen
HomeLink button and the hand -held transm itter button
until the HomeLink ind icator changes from a slow to a
rap idly blinking light, then release both the HomeLink
and hand -held transm itter buttons.
4. Press and hold the just-trained HomeLink button
and observe the ind icator light.
