Crossb ars should rem ain equally spaced or paral-
lel at any luggage rack position for prop er func-
tion . Noncomplian ce could resu lt in damage to the
luggage rack , cargo and/or veh icle.
NOTE: To help control wind noise when installing the
crossbars make sure the arrow s marked on the und ersid e
of the crossbars are facing the front of the vehicle. When
the crossbars are not in use, the front crossbar shou ld be
fastened just forw ard of the middle support and the rear
crossbar shou ld be fastened at the rearm ost position of
the side rails. This will help red uce the amount of wind
noise when the crossbars are not in use.
To avoid damage to the roof rack and vehicle, do not
exceed the maximum roof rack load capacity of 150
lbs (68 kg). Always distrib ute heavy load s as even ly
as possib le and secure the load appropriately.
The tie down holes on the crossbar end s shou ld alw ays
be used to tie down the load . Check the strap s frequ ently
to be sure that the load rem ains securely attached .
