Com pass Varian ce
This display show s the distance traveled since the last
reset. Press and release the right button located on the
instru ment cluster to switch from odometer, to trip A or
trip B. Press and hold the right button while the
odometer/ trip odometer is displayed to reset.
Com pass Variance is the difference betw een magnetic
North and Geograp hic North. In som e areas of the
country, the difference betw een magnetic and geograp hic
North is great enou gh to cause the compass to give false
read ings. In ord er to ensu re compass accuracy, the com- 4
pass variance shou ld be prop erly set accord ing to the
compass variance map zone that the vehicle is in.
Trip A
Show s the total distance traveled for Trip A since the last
reset.
NOTE: Magnetic materials shou ld be kep t away from
the top of the instru ment panel. This is where the
compass sensor is located .
Trip B
Show s the total distance traveled for Trip B since the last
reset.
