When in AUTOMATIC and weather cond itions requ ire heat, air
will be sent to the floor. How ever, a featu re is inclu ded in you r
EATC to prevent blow ing cold air to the floor if the engine
coolant is not warm enou gh to allow heating. In 3 1/ 2 minu tes
or less, the fan speed will start to increase and the air flow will
be to the floor area.
If unu sual cond itions exist (i.e. wind ow fogging, etc.), the six
manu al overrid e bu ttons allow you to select special air
discharge locations. A thu mbw heel allow s you to ad just the fan
speed to suit you r need s.
Temperature selection
The RED and BLUE bu ttons at the upper left of the Control are
for tem peratu re selection. The RED bu tton will increase the set
tem peratu re and the BLUE bu tton will low er the set
tem peratu re. Pressing a bu tton and releasing it will change the
set tem peratu re one degree. Hold ing either bu tton in will
rap idly change the tem peratu re setting in one degree increm ents
to either 65˚F (18˚C) (BLUE) or 85˚F (29˚C) (RED). Then, the set
tem peratu re will jump 5˚ and stop at either 60˚F (16˚C) which is
maxim um cooling or 90˚F (32˚C) which is maxim um heating.
When you select 60˚F (16˚C) or 90˚F (32˚C), the fan will go to
HI speed for maxim um airflow .
