Liftgate handle and locks
You can unlock the liftgate by using the key. To open the
liftgate, rotate the hand le clockw ise and to open the liftgate
wind ow , rotate the hand le counterclockw ise.
You can lock the liftgate by using the key, pushing the lock
bu tton dow n, or using the pow er door lock switch on the left
sid e of the cargo area.
Make certain that you close the liftgate door and wind ow before
driving you r vehicle. If you do not, possible dam age may occur
to the liftgate door lift cylind ers and attaching hard ware.
RWARN ING
When drivin g you r veh icle make sure that the liftgate
door and window are closed to preven t exhaust fumes
from bein g draw n into the veh icle. This will also preven t
cargo from fallin g out.
The liftgate area is only intend ed for cargo, not passengers. You
can open and close the liftgate from outsid e the vehicle. It
cannot be opened from insid e the cargo area.
