RWARN ING
Do not park you r veh icle in Neutral, it may move
unexpected ly and injure som eon e. Use 1 (First) gear and
set the park ing brak e fully.
Steering Your Vehicle
Your vehicle com es with pow er steering. Pow er steering uses
energy from the engine to help steer you r vehicle.
If the am ou nt of effort need ed to steer you r vehicle changes at a
constant vehicle speed , have the pow er steering system checked .
If the pow er steering system breaks dow n (or if the engine is
tu rned off), you can steer the vehicle manu ally bu t it takes more
effort.
Never hold the steering wheel to the extrem e right or left for
more than five second s if the engine is ru nning. This can
dam age the pow er steering pump.
NOTE: After any severe impact such as strik ing large
poth oles, slid ing into curbs on icy road s, or a collision
involvin g the fron t end, observe the steerin g wheel
align ment. If the spokes of the steerin g wheel seem to
be in a differen t position while goin g straigh t down
the road , have the fron t suspension and steerin g
checked for possib le damage.
