Turn the ignition key back to RUN within 30 second s of
step 2.

The horn shou ld chirp once. If not, wait 30 second s and
rep eat step s 1 throu gh 6.

Press the door pow er lock bu tton.

The horn will chirp tw ice if the rem ote Mem ory Seat featu re
was deactivated , three tim es (tw o short chirp s follow ed by a
long chirp ) if the rem ote Mem ory Seat featu re was activated .

Turn the ignition OFF.
The horn will chirp once to confirm that you activated or
deactivated the rem ote Mem ory Seat featu re.
To reactivate the rem ote Mem ory Seat system , sim ply rep eat the
instru ctions for deactivating the system . By reentering the cod e
that deactivates the rem ote Mem ory Seat, the keyless entry
system reinstates the featu re.
NOTE: The Memory Seat function will contin ue to work from
the door switch even when deactivated at the rem ote
keyless entry module. Only rem ote Memory Seat
recall can be deactivated .
Replacing the batteries
The rem ote entry transm itter is pow ered by tw o coin typ e
three-volt lithiu m 2016 batteries (inclu ded) that shou ld last for
several years of norm al use. If you notice a significant decrease
in operating range, the batteries shou ld be rep laced .
Replacem ent batteries can be purchased at most pharm acies,
watch stores or at you r Ford or Lincoln-Mercu ry dealer.
