To ensu re accu racy, tu rn the ignition OFF when you fill the fuel
tank.
NOTE: Distan ce to empty is calcu lated usin g a “Ru nning
Average Fuel Economy” initialized by the factory. The
valu e is not the sam e as the Average Fuel Economy
Disp lay. The Running Average Fuel Economy is based
on more than 500 miles (800 km) of drivin g history.
Also, the factory defau lt for Running Average Fuel
Economy is rein itialized if the battery is discon nected .
If the “FUEL LEVEL ERROR” message is displayed , this means
that there is a problem with the fuel ind ication system and you
shou ld contact you r dealer for service as soon as possible.
A second consecu tive press of the FUEL RAN GE switch allow s
you to disp lay how many miles or kilom eters you have driven
since you last reset this featu re. A press of the RESET switch
with MILE (KM) DRIVEN displayed resets the distance driven
to 0.0 miles or kilom eters.
Fuel Status
A press of the FUEL STATUS switch allow s you to display one
of tw o featu res (Fuel Remaining or Fuel Used ). The first press
of the FUEL STATUS switch allow s you to display the
ap proxim ate am ount of fuel in the tank in whole nu mbers
(gallons or liters).
If you r fuel tank is full or nearly full, the M/ C will display the
“FULL FUEL TAN K” message. If you r fuel tank is empty or
nearly empty, the M/ C will display the “EMPTY FUEL TAN K”
message.
A second consecu tive press of the FUEL STATUS switch allow s
you to display the am ount of fuel used since you last reset this
featu re. A press of the RESET switch with GALLON S (LITERS)
USED disp layed resets the am ou nt to 0.0 gallons or liters used .
