Engine Oil Pressure Gauge
This gau ge ind icates the engine’s oil pressu re, not the oil level.
How ever, if you r engine’s oil level is low , it could affect the oil
pressu re. With the engine ru nning, the pointer shou ld move into
the NORMAL band . If the pointer drop s below the NORMAL
band while the engine is ru nning, you have lost oil pressu re
and continu ed operation will cau se severe engine dam age.
If you lose engine oil pressu re:

Pu ll off the road as soon as safely possible.
Turn off the engine. If you do not stop the engine as soon as
safely possible, severe engine dam age could resu lt.

Check the engine’s oil level, follow ing the instru ctions on
checking and ad ding engine oil. Refer to Engine oil in the
Ind ex. If you do not follow these instru ctions, you or others
could be inju red . To assu re an accu rate read ing, you r vehicle
shou ld be on level grou nd .
If the level is low , ad d only as much oil as necessary before
you start the engine again. Do not overfill. Do not operate
the engine if the pointer is below the NORMAL band ,
regard less of the oil level. Contact you r nearest dealer for
further service actions.
