Guarding Against Exhaust Fumes
Carbon monoxid e, althou gh colorless and od orless, is present in
exhau st fumes. Take precau tions to avoid its dangerou s effects.
RWARN ING
Never let you r veh icle idle in an enclosed area, and do
not sit in a park ed veh icle, (with the engin e running) for
more than a short period of tim e. Exhaust fumes,
particu larly carb on monoxid e, migh t build up. These
fumes are harm ful and could kill you .
RWARN ING
If you smell exhaust fumes insid e you r veh icle, have
you r dealer inspect you r veh icle immediately. Do not
drive if you smell exhaust fumes.
Have the exhau st and bod y ventilation system s checked
whenever:

you r vehicle is raised for service
the sou nd of the exhau st system changes
you r vehicle has been dam aged in a collision
