Replacing lost transmitters
In the event a transm itter is lost, you shou ld take you r vehicle’s
transm itters to you r dealer to have the rem ote entry system
deprogram med for the lost transm itter. This is necessary to
prevent further unau thorized use of the lost transm itter.
You can also purchase ad ditional transm itters (up to 4
transm itters can be used ) from you r dealer. You will need to
take all you r transm itters to the dealer so they can program
them to the rem ote entry system all at the sam e tim e.
Illuminated Entry System (If equipped)
This system will provid e illumination of the vehicle’s interior
courtesy lam ps when either outsid e front door hand le is pulled
or when the rem ote entry system is used to unlock the door or
sou nd the personal alarm . The system will au tom atically tu rn
off after ap proxim ately 25 second s or when the ignition is
tu rned to the RUN or ACC position.
NOTE: The insid e ligh ts will not turn off if you have turned
them on with the dimmer thumbwheel or if any door
is open.
Delayed Accessory
This featu re provid es pow er to operate the pow er wind ow s and
pow er moon roof for 10 minu tes after the ignition switch is
tu rned from the RUN to the OFF position.
If either front door is opened during the 10 minu te period the
delayed accessory featu re will be disabled .
Battery Saver
When the ignition is tu rned off, the vehicle will tu rn off battery
voltage to all of these lights after 40 minu tes: glove box, engine
com partm ent, overhead console, mirror, cou rtesy and
interior (inclu ding cargo) lam ps.
