RWARN ING
Do not spin the wheels at over 35 mph (55 km/h). The
tires may fail and injure a passen ger or bystan der.
Driving With a Heavy Load
There are limits to the am ount of weight you r vehicle can carry
or tow . The total weight of you r vehicle, plus the weight of the
passengers and cargo, shou ld never be more than the Gross
Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Also, the weight that you r
vehicle carries over the front axle and rear axle shou ld never be
more than the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) for the
resp ective axle.
The weight limits of you r vehicle’s tires affect the GVWR or
GAWR limitations. Usage of rep lacem ent tires with higher
weight limits than originals does not increase GVWR or GAWR.
Usage of low er cap acity rep lacem ent tires may low er GVWR
and GAWR limitations.

If the GVWR or the GAWR specified on the Safety
Com plian ce Certification Label is exceed ed, you r veh icle
may be damaged or you may lose control and injure
som eon e.
Vehicle/Trailer Loads
All vehicles may tow a Class I trailer provid ed the Gross
Com bined Weight (GCW) is less than or equ al to the GVWR
show n on the Safety Com pliance Certification Label. For heavier
trailer ap plications, refer to the tow ing inform ation fou nd later
in this chap ter.
