Factors affectin g compass accuracy
The com pass read ing can be affected when you drive near a
nu mber of things — such as large bu ildings, brid ges, pow er
lines, and pow erfu l antennas.
Your com pass can also be affected by magnetic or metallic
objects placed in or on the vehicle. If the com pass is giving
inaccu rate read ings, perform the follow ing com pass ad justm ents.
Com pass adjustm ents
There are tw o possible ad justm ents to the com pass: Zone and
Calibration.
Zone adjustment:
