and the liftgate wind ow are com pletely closed , the doors and
liftgate will lock again, the horn will chirp and the external
lam ps will flash. If a door, liftgate or the liftgate wind ow is
open or ajar, the horn will give tw o short chirp s warning you
that a door or the liftgate is open.
Remote entry personal alarm
If you wish to activate the rem ote entry system personal alarm ,
press the PAN IC bu tton. This will honk the horn and flash the
lights for ap proxim ately 2 minu tes 45 second s. You can tu rn it
off by pressing the PAN IC bu tton again from the transm itter or
by tu rning the ignition to the ON or ACCESSORY position.
When you use the rem ote entry UN LOCK or PAN IC bu ttons,
the illuminated entry system tu rns on the vehicle’s interior
lights for 25 second s. You can tu rn these lights off with the
rem ote entry LOCK bu tton or by tu rning the ignition to the ON
or ACCESSORY position.
Arming and Disarming the Alarm System with Remote
Entry
Your Remote Entry System will au tom atically arm the factory
installed Anti-Theft System when the doors are locked , and
au tom atically disarm it when the doors are unlocked . The
rem ote will also reset the anti-theft alarm (when the driver’s
door is unlocked or the PAN IC bu tton is pressed on a
program med rem ote entry transm itter) if it was triggered .
