Opening the Fuel Filler Door
To open the fuel filler door of you r vehicle, just insert you r
finger in the divot and pull the door open all the way.
Filling the fuel tank
RWARN ING
Do not overfill the fuel tan k. The pressu re in an
overfilled tan k may cause leak age and lead to fuel spray
and fire.
To fill the fuel tank prop erly:
NOTE: Extin guish all lit cigarettes, oth er smoking materials,
and any open flam es before fuelin g you r veh icle.

Unscrew the fuel cap by exerting pressu re on the plastic lock
bar and rotating the fuel cap counterclockw ise.

Turn the fuel cap 1/ 2 to 3/ 4 of a tu rn until a hissing sou nd
is heard . Wait until the hissing sou nd stop s and then
continu e rotating cou nterclockw ise to rem ove the fuel cap .
Make sure that you follow the above fuel cap rem oval
instru ctions and use cau tion. Such cau tion will minim ize the
possibility of fuel spraying during rem oval of the fuel cap .

Make sure that you pump unlead ed fuel and put the nozzle
all the way insid e the fuel filler pipe.
If you spill any fuel on the bod y of you r vehicle, clean it off
immediately. The fuel may dull or soften the paint if you do
not wash it off.
To rep lace and secu re the fuel cap ; place it in position and
rotate it clockw ise until it clicks (ratchets). Doing so will not
dam age or break the fuel cap . The ratcheting mechanism allow s
the fuel cap to be sealed withou t overtightening.
