Gearshift Lever (Automatic transmission
only)
The gearshift lever on you r Explorer is mou nted on the steering
colu mn. On the end of the gearshift lever is the Overd rive
On/ Off bu tton. For ad ditional inform ation abou t the gearshift

OVERDRIVE OFF Lamp
This lam p ind icates the operating range of the transm ission.
This lam p illuminates when the O/ D ON / OFF bu tton is
depressed . For ad ditional inform ation, refer to the Warning
Lights and Gauges chap ter.
