Turn the ignition key to LOCK.
Remove the key.
If your vehicle’s gearshift lever is mounted on the
floor:

Pu t the gearshift in 1 (First).
Turn the ignition key to OFF.
Set the parking brake fully before rem oving you r foot from
the service brake.

Pu sh and hold in the key release bu tton.
Turn the key to LOCK.
Remove the key.
RWARN ING
Alw ays set the park ing brak e fully and make sure that
the gearsh ift is latch ed in P (Park ) (autom atic
tran smission ) or 1 (First) (manual tran smission ).

Do not leave child ren , unreliab le adults, or pets alon e in
you r veh icle. They could accid entally injure themselves
or oth ers throu gh inadverten t operation of the veh icle.
Furth er, on hot, sunny days, tem peratu res in a closed
veh icle could quickly becom e high enough to cause
severe and possib ly fatal injuries to peop le as well as
animals.
