Buying a Ford Extended Service Plan
If you bou ght you r vehicle in the U.S., you can bu y a Ford
Extend ed Service Plan for you r vehicle. This optional contract
provid es service protection for a longer period of tim e than the
basic warranty that com es with you r vehicle.
You do not have to bu y this option when you bu y you r vehicle.
How ever, you r option to purchase the Ford Extend ed Service
Plan ru ns out after 18 months or 18,000 miles. See you r dealer

If you purchased a Canad ian vehicle and did not take
ad vantage of the Ford Extend ed Service Plan at the tim e of

fou r-w heel drive vehicles entitled 4-Wheeling with Ford.
Althou gh this special supplem ent is prim arily directed to
four-w heel drive vehicle operators, these princip les of safe
driving also ap ply to operators of the tw o-w heel drive Explorer.
Even thou gh you may not select a 4WD or AWD option for
you r Explorer, many of its operating characteristics are sim ilar
to those of a fou r-w heel drive vehicle. For this reason, Ford
urges you to read and und erstand the contents of the 4-Wheeling
with Ford supplem ent.
