The electronic mirror measu res the brightness of the light
com ing in from the rear of the vehicle. It au tom atically makes a
correction in the glare state. The mirror may be tu rned off in
either the norm al or non-glare position.
There are tw o light sensors (photocells) in this mirror. The
sensor that detects rear glare is located insid e a wind ow in the
upper RH corner of the mirror. The second light sensor which
determ ines outsid e light level is located on the backsid e of the
mirror case.
One important safety featu re is that the mirror au tom atically
retu rns to the norm al position whenever the vehicle is placed in
R (Reverse) (when the mirror is in the ON position). This
featu re ensu res a bright clear view in the mirror when backing
up.
To tu rn on the au tom atic mirror, have the key in the ON
position and push the ON bu tton once. The light in the center
of the bu tton will light ind icating the mirror is on. To tu rn the

The mirror can be tem porarily darkened , if wanted , by pushing
the Dim bu tton. After releasing the bu tton, the mirror will
retu rn to the previou s op eration mod e after a short delay.
