Replacing the Tires
Replace any tires that show wear band s. When you r tire show s
a wear band , it has only 1/ 16 inch (2 mm) of tread left.
A worn-out tire
Because you r vehicle’s tires may wear unevenly, you may need
to rep lace them before a wear band ap pears across the entire
tread . Some spots wear more heavily than others.
Your wheels and tires are match-m ounted for improved rid e.
Before you begin to rep air a tire, mark the wheel and tire so
that they are prop erly aligned when rem ou nted . This will
ensu re that the tires will continu e to give you the sam e rid e
level.
RWARN ING
When rep lacin g full size tires, never mix rad ial,
bias-b elted , or bias-typ e tires. Use only the tire sizes that
are listed on the tire pressu re decal. Make sure that all
tires are the sam e size, speed ratin g, and load -carryin g
capacity. Use only the tire combination s recom mended on
the decal. If you do not follow these precau tion s, you r
veh icle may not drive prop erly and safely.
