The au tom atic locking mod e must be used to hold small
child ren in position, particu larly sleep ing child ren and those
who may try to squ irm ou t of the belts. The emergency locking
mod e is also used while bu ckling the belts.
Frequ ently check the child seat’s lap and shou lder harness belts
for correct placem ent and tightness. Use the child seat only if
the harness belts will stay snu g when belts are placed into the
lock mod e with a child in the seat. If not, take the child seat to
the dealer for rep air.
