The Fuel Pump Shut-off Switch
If the engine cranks bu t does not start or does not start after a
collision, the fuel pump shu t-off switch may have been
triggered . The shu t-off switch is a device intend ed to stop the
fuel pump when you r vehicle has been involved in a major jolt.
Once the shu t-off switch is triggered , you must reset the switch
by hand before you can start you r vehicle.

If you see or smell fuel, do not reset the switch or try to
start you r veh icle. Have all the passen gers get out of the
veh icle and call the local fire departm ent or a tow ing
service.
