To retu rn the vehicle to a tow able cond ition, you must:

Place the transfer case in 2WD by rotating the 4WD switch
to 2WD.
NOTE: Both the 4WD and 4WD Low indicator ligh ts in the
instru ment cluster will be off when the tran sfer case
is in 2WD.
■
After 2WD is selected , the front hu bs must be “u nlocked ” by
moving the vehicle in reverse direction for a minim um of ten
feet.
■
Confirm the front hu bs are unlocked by insp ecting the front
drive shaft to verify it does not tu rn when the vehicle is
tow ed.

follow the instru ctions provid ed by the manu factu rer of the
tow ing ap paratu s.
