Accelerating With the Speed Control Operating
You can use the accelerator pedal to speed up mom entarily.
When you take you r foot off the accelerator, the vehicle will
retu rn to the set speed .
Resetting the Speed Control
To reset the speed control to a low er speed , press and hold the
COAST switch. Let you r vehicle slow dow n to the desired
speed and release the COAST switch.
Your vehicle has a “tap -dow n” featu re that allow s you to
decrease you r current speed in increm ents of 1 mph (1.6 km / h)
by a mom entary tap of the COAST switch. Mu ltip le tap s of the
COAST switch will decrease you r vehicle speed 1 mph
(1.6
km / h) for each tap . For exam ple, if you are currently set at
65
mph (104 km / h) and tap the COAST switch 5 tim es you r
vehicle speed will decrease and set at 60 mph (96 km / h).
To reset the speed control to a high er speed , you can follow
any of these proced ures:

Accelerate to the desired speed , then press the SET ACCEL
switch and release it immediately.
■
Press and hold the SET ACCEL switch, then accelerate to
you r desired speed and release the switch.
