Cleaning the Exterior Lamps
Do not use dry pap er tow el, chem ical solvents or abrasive
cleaners to clean the lam ps, as these may cau se scratches or
crack the lam ps.
Daytime Running Light System
(Canadian vehicles only)
The Daytim e Running Light (DRL) system tu rns the high beam
head lam ps on, with a red uced light output, when:

The head lam p system is in the OFF position, and
The vehicle has a fully released parking brake.
The high beam ind icator light on the instru ment cluster will not
be on.
RWARN ING
The Daytim e Running Ligh t (DRL) system will not
illu minate the tail lam ps and park ing lam ps. Turn on
you r head lam ps at dusk. Failu re to do so may resu lt in a
collision .
Lighting Up the Instrument Panel and the Interior of
Your Vehicle
The instru ment panel lights can be tu rned on by tu rning the
head lam p knob tow ard either the first or second position. You
can brighten or dim the instru ment panel lights by rotating the
thu mb wheel.
The interior lights will shu t off after 25 second s with all the
doors closed , or immediately when the ignition switch is tu rned
to the ON position, or if the vehicle speed is above five MPH
