Body
■
Wash vehicle thorou ghly to rem ove dirt, grease, oil, tar or
mud from exterior surfaces, rear wheel hou sing and
und ersid e of front fend ers.

Period ically wash vehicles stored in exp osed locations.
Tou ch-u p raw or prim ed metal to prevent ru st.
Cover chrom e and stainless steel parts with a thick coat of
au to wax to prevent discoloration. Re-w ax as necessary when
the vehicle is washed .

Lubricate all hood , door and tru nk lid hinges and latches
with a light grad e oil.

Cover interior soft trim to prevent fad ing.
Keep all ru bber parts free from oil and solvents.
Engine
■
Start engine every 15 days. Run at fast idle until it reaches
norm al operating tem peratu re.
■
With you r foot on the brake, shift throu gh all the gears
while the engine is ru nning.
Fuel system
■
Fill fuel tank with high-qu ality unlead ed fuel until the first
au tom atic shu toff of the fuel pump nozzle.
NOTE: Durin g exten ded period s of veh icle storage (60 days or
more), fuel may deteriorate due to oxid ation . This can
damage rubber and oth er polym ers in the fuel system
and may also clog small orifices.
