Using the Controls of Your Cassette Tape Player
NOTE: Rad io power must be on to use the cassette tap e
player.
How to insert a tape
Your cassette tap e player is equ ipped with pow er load ing. Once
you insert a tap e and push slightly (with the open edge to the
right ), the load ing mechanism draw s the tap e the rest of the
way in and play will begin after a momentary tap e tigh ten ing
process. Disp lay indicates “TAPE” while tap e is playin g.
If the player is in the tap e mod e bu t not in play, pressing the
“
TAPE” bu tton will activate play. If the “TAPE” bu tton is
pressed with no tap e inserted , the display will flash “NO
TAPE”.
How to locate a desired track on the tape
There are six ways to qu ickly locate a desired selection on the
tap e. You can use the fast forw ard , rew ind , Blank Skip, “SEEK”,
“
descrip tions of each:
SCAN ” or “SIDE 1-2” functions. Follow ing are brief

Fast forw ard ing the tap e
To fast forw ard the tap e, press the “FF” bu tton. The rad io
will play while the tap e is in fast forw ard . The light above
the “FF” bu tton will blink while in the fast forw ard mod e.
Press “FF” again or press the “TAPE” bu tton to stop fast
forw ard ing. At the end of the tap e, the direction
au tom atically reverses and plays the other sid e of the tap e.

Rew ind ing the tap e
To rew ind the tap e, press the “REW” bu tton. The rad io will
au tom atically begin playing while the tap e is rew ind ing. The
light above the “REW” bu tton will blink while in the rew ind
mod e. Press “REW” again or press the “TAPE” bu tton to
stop rew ind ing.
