If a distance of 50 miles (80 km ) or speed of 35 mph (56 km / h)

Remove the rear driveshaft or have the neu tral tow featu re
enabled at you r dealership .

Mark the driveshaft and transfer case/ axle flanges to ensu re
prop er position when installing the driveshaft. Refer to
service manu al for prop er driveshaft torqu e specification.
RWARN ING
When discon nectin g/in stallin g the drivesh aft, the park ing
brak e must be set and the wheels block ed to ensure the
veh icle does not roll.

Limited vehicle operation, such as driving the vehicle while at a
cam psite, can be accom plished with the rear driveshaft rem oved
by using the front drive to prop el the vehicle. To operate the
vehicle in this cond ition, you must follow the follow ing
gu idelines:

Place the transfer case in 4WD by rotating 4WD switch to
4WD HIGH .

Drive the vehicle only on good surface road s to avoid
excessive load s on the front-w heel drive system .
