GCWR (Gross Combined Weight Rating)
GCWR is the maxim um com bined weight of the tow ing
vehicle (inclu ding passengers and cargo) and the load ed trailer.
The GCWR is specified by the manu factu rer to ind icate the
com bined maxim um load ed weight that the vehicle is designed
to tow .
Maximum Trailer Weight Rating
The maxim um trailer weight rating is the maxim um weight of a
trailer the vehicle is perm itted to tow . It is specified by the
manu factu rer and is determ ined by subtracting the vehicle curb
weight for each engine/ transm ission com bination, any requ ired
option weight for trailer tow ing and the weight of the driver
from the GCWR for the tow ing vehicle.
Maximum Trailer Weight
The maxim um trailer weight is the maxim um weight of a trailer
the load ed vehicle is perm itted to tow . It is determ ined by
subtracting the weight of the load ed tow ing vehicle (inclu ding
passengers and cargo) from the GCWR for the tow ing vehicle.
Trailer Weight Range
The trailer weight range is a specified range by weight, which
the trailer must fall within, ranging from zero to the maxim um
trailer weight rating.
